What is an International Youth Meeting?

International Youthmeetings are a chance to young people to get to know other cultures, languages, countries... It’s an opportunity to get more open-minded, to be more self-confident, more tolerant, more responsible, and let them start seeing life from another point of view.
It’s a way of learning and reflect about topics that are important for everyday life but which are not (talked so often). This all happens in a nice atmosphere for young people.
This Youthmeeting is part of the Youth in Action Programme of the EU. From the 23rd until the 30th July around thirty people from Aurich (Germany), Krakow (Poland), A Coruña (Spain) and Suomussalmi (Finland) meet in a National Park in Suomussalmi. They talk and discuss about the topic “How to make it through life”. They learn and compare the situation in the different countries and find some solutions together, not just by talking but also by doing things.
